As we move into the beginning of the year, I want to wish you all a Happy New Years and a prosperous 2022! We have an exciting year lined up and it’s all centered on delivering value to you, our members and advancing the profession. There are a few points I would like to note.

First, you may have noticed that our website is faster and more reliable. Our very own VP of Communications spent the break migrating our website to a faster server. This will increase our ability to store more information and support additional traffic the site.

Second, the government acquisitions community recently announced a shift away from the three-level certification. Via the back-to-basics program, they have introduced a two level certification process (Foundational and Professional). CLEP built the Defense Life-Cycle Logistics Certification to mirror the DAWIA certification for the defense industry. We are discussing how to approach this shift and we want your input! Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Should CLEP mirror the shift? Please feel free to reach out via e-mail or in the comments below. Please feel free to e-mail us at President@logisticsengineers.org, or Education@logisticsengineers.org.

Finally, CLEP survives on the work of volunteers, and we need your help. If you want to support a committee, please reach out to myself or Dr. Ibarra (operations@logisticsengineers.org) and we will connect you to the right folks.

On behalf of myself and the Board of Officers we are looking forward to a great 2022 season!
