The Logistic Supportability Engineer must have experience in the planning, analysis, development, implementation, and management of effective and affordable weapon system support strategies using the specifications detailed below for all branches of US DoD.
Must possess technical expertise in analyzing and maintaining DoD weapon systems and their support equipment. Will perform Product Support Analysis and develop resultant Logistics Product Support Data for that equipment and provide Logistics Supportability insight during the design or redesign and development of end item systems.
Product Support Data is developed in accordance with the specification GEIA-STD-0007, and previous specifications MIL-STD-1388-1A/2B, MIL-PRF-49506 as required, utilizing automated database software to capture and organize the data for reporting and delivery of products.
Typical Logistics products developed and analyses performed include but are not limited to:
- Maintenance Planning and Task Analysis
- Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD)
- Provisioning Parts Lists (PPL)
- Maintenance Plans (MaPl)
Familiarity with DoD Operation & Maintenance technical manual content and format specifications and technical manual development preferable.
Experience working with automated logistics data management tools such as PowerLog, SlicWave, etc… required.
Infrequent travel required to participate in logistic related events.
Proficiency in MS Office products and ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance required.
