Making Tough Decisions a Bit Easier

Presenter: Dr. Gerard Ibarra

Dr. Ibarra will present some fundamentals on how we might think and make decisions. He’ll introduce a quantitative and qualitative multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) framework that he learned while in graduate school and modified it over his years of educational and professional experience. This framework helps individuals and companies make difficult decisions a bit more efficient when faced with seemingly equal alternatives. And because our emotions are involved when we make decisions, whether known to us or hidden subconsciously, his framework allows for these feelings to be part of our decision-making process. This part of the framework assists the individuals to at least keep their emotions in check.
