The Sr Logistics Management Specialist assists with development of Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) Configuration Management (CM) Instruction and Plan updates to define and outline evolving CM processes, policy and procedures and other documentation associated with LCS new construction program. Participates in programmatic design reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Senior level Briefs and Sail-Away Readiness Reviews and other technical meetings to discuss and outline new construction CM requirements in support of the LCS program. In addition, provides expertise in the identification and resolution of supportability issues including life cycle support as they relate to DoD acquisition policies and procedures. The Logistics Management Specialist creates, updates, and reviews logistics documentation. Successful candidates will have +5 years of U.S. Navy CM/Data Management experience. U. S. Senior Life Cycle & Acquisition Logistics Mgt Specialists (posted 06-04-2018)
This position, located at NSWC Crane, involves providing acquisition logistics support for the development, modification, and upgrade of Navy systems, subsystems, and related Support Equipment (SE); collecting and analyzing logistic data, create and maintaining databases of In-Service engineering data, preparing logistics data/materials to support briefings, generating reports and associated documentation for Navy programs (preferably NAVAIR); assisting with maintenance of logistics support data, planning schedules, and documents.
This position requires excellent communication, inter-personal, organizational and detail-oriented skills; knowledge of MS Office applications including word-processing, presentation, and spreadsheet and integrated software applications; working knowledge of LMI databases and tools (i.e. SLICwave/PowerLOG-J).
